Thanks to the technical expertise of a dynamic team from the Taproot Foundation, and the generous support of the Booth Ferris Foundation, ArtsConnection celebrated the internal launch of its new website on July 1st, 2009. The official public launch will take place at the start of the 2009/2010 school year.

On June 17, 2009, ArtsConnection and its founder, Linda LeRoy Janklow, were inducted into Thirteen/WNET’s Community Hall of Fame. The New York public television stations' Community Advisory Boards conferring this honor to recognize exemplary efforts in the fields of the arts, culture, education, and social concerns that are related to the stations' mission to educate, enlighten, and inform. We are delighted to receive this honor, and thank the stations’ for recognizing ArtsConnection’s commitment to the New York community.

CREDIT SUISSE HOSTS THE ANNUAL ArtsConnection JANKLOW AWARDS Master dance teaching artist Kim Grier and long-time ArtsConnection partnering principal Janette Caban (Public School 94k) were honored at the Annual Janklow Awards on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009. The event was held at the Credit Suisse New York headquarters. In addition to recognizing the honorees, the event celebrated all of ArtsConnection's accomplishments of the past year.
