ArtsConnection Congratulates Lobsang Tsewang!

Newtown High School senior, Lobsang Tsewang, a frequent participant in ArtsConnection's Student Art Program, has been named a winner in the Congressional Institute’s annual art contest. His winning piece, Next Stop, will be displayed in the US Capitol for one year. Lobsang, who is heading to Washington DC as a guest at the National Congressional Art Competition's reception, has exhibited work at Morgan Creek Capital Management, Centerview Partners, and the “No Longer Empty” exhibit in Long Island City. Lobsang is starting his freshman year at State University of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology this fall.

Summer TRaC will focus on the theme, Map Free City. Teens will be exploring the arts and culture events of New York City - and by New York City, we mean ALL 5 boroughs! The session runs from July 9 - August 1.
