    ArtsConnection is seeking a Ballroom/Latin Dance Teaching Artist for the 2011-2012 school year. Exceptional knowledge and experience in this genre is an ideal candidate as well as experience teaching in NYC Public Schools. Classes should have a skill-based structure and integrate student creativity and curiosity. Looking for success in partnering work among students. Teaching artists will work closely with the classroom teachers to plan classes, assess students and student learning, and create work that will be shared with the larger school community.   • Tap Dance Teaching Artist
    ArtsConnection is seeking a Teaching Artist in Tap Dance to work with Elementary School students in Staten Island. A good candidate for this job will be an expert tap dancer who has experience teaching, especially in public schools, and is interested in exploring creative work with students. Classes will ideally be skill-based with emphasis on improvisation. The Tap Dance Teaching Artist will work closely with the classroom teachers to plan classes, assess students, and create work that will be shared with the larger school community.
