MAKING THE ARTS ESSENTIAL TO EDUCATION

PARTNERING WITH ArtsConnection
ArtsConnection is a certified vendor to the New York City Department of Education. We will work with your school to design a program that matches your school’s needs and resources. The planning process results in a detailed proposal and work order that reflect:
- Educational and artistic goals of your school community
- The arts discipline, cultures, themes, grades or curricular areas on which you would like to focus*
An ArtsConnection Program Manager will work with a school-based coordinator of your choosing to implement the program design. The Program Manager:
- Serves as a link between the school and ArtsConnection
- Schedules and supervises programming
- Facilitates planning and reflection meetings that set goals for the residency and assess student learning

| * Please be aware that dance workshops require a space such as a stage or gym; visual arts workshops require proximity to a water source and storage areas; and teachers need time together to be able to participate in planning and reflection meetings. |

What it Costs
ArtsConnection programs are custom designed for each school or site. The cost of residencies is based on the number of classes participating, the art form chosen and the length of the residency.
