What is High 5?

Through ArtsConnection's High 5 program, teens ages 13 to 18 buy $5 tickets to the best of New York City dance, music, theater and visual arts events year round. Tickets to museums are two for $5 every day. We also have theater, dance, symphonies, Hip-Hop, film and spoken work, so check out our Event Calendar for a complete listing of events and to purchase tickets.

Who can buy High 5 tickets?

High 5 tickets can be purchased by:
  • Teens aged 13-18
  • Students enrolled in grades 6-12
  • Parents/accompanying adults of teens
Please Note: There must be a one-to-one ratio of teens to adults present at every High 5 event. So, if there is one adult there must be at least one teen, two adults, two teens and so on.

How does High 5 Work?

  1. High 5 tickets can be purchased at our website, over the phone or in the ArtsConnection office.
  2. All customers are sent an email confirmation and receive a voucher that gains access into the event. Print this out when you receive it.
  3. When you arrive at the event, please bring your voucher and proof of age, like a student ID or recent report card.

Questions? Call 212-453-9462 or check out www.high5tix.org.

Teen Reviewers and Critics

Are you open-minded and adventurous? An arts lover? A writer, perhaps? Then you've got to check out High 5's FREE Teen Reviewers and Critics (TRaC) Program.

TRaC is for committed high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who want to explore and experience the arts in New York City. Participants attend cutting-edge theater, dance and music performances; visit artists' studios, funky galleries and contemporary art museums; meet like-minded peers from all over NY and NJ; and learn the art of discussion and critical writing.

For more on TRaC, click here.

Pizza & a Movie

Don't miss High 5's Pizza & a Movie night! The first Friday of each month, teens from across the city gather at the Sony Wonderlab to watch an audience-choice movie. A short discussion follows the screening and, of course, pizza is served...and it's all FREE! To learn more about Pizza & a Movie, visit The High 5 Review or follow High 5 on Facebook.

All the arts, all the time, all for $5.
